Changes for 2007 Season
FOX: 26 Saturday afternoon games; All-Star Game; one League Championship Series*; World Series;
TBS: 26 Sunday afternoon games (beginning 2008); regular-season tiebreak games, if needed; Division Series games; one League Championship Series*;
TNT: Division series games not aired on sister network TBS;
ESPN: Sunday night games and two additional games per week; Opening Day games;
*In 2007, FOX will air the American League Championship Series, while TBS will air the National League Championship Series. These rights will alternate years through 2013.;
Additionally, local or regional broadcasters contract with the MLB team in their area for the right to broadcast a number of regular season games locally. These broadcasters can be traditional over-the-air television stations as well as regional cable sports channels. Three clubs (Atlanta Braves on TBS, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox on WGN-TV) contract with local affiliates which have become superstations, so their regular season games are available nationwide. (Braves games will no longer be offered nationwide on TBS beginning in 2008.)
